This year, VoltSafe is coming to a town near you to showcase the world’s first high voltage, prongless, magnetic electrical connector, and the technology behind it to industry experts. We will have the opportunity to showcase how VoltSafe’s devices and technology are going to revolutionize the way we access power by replacing traditional extension cords and smart plugs, with devices that are safe, simple, and smart. Avid users of our VoltSafe Winter magnetic extension cord for engine block heaters already see the difference in their lives and their energy bills, but we are not stopping there. Our product line continues to expand and we will be featuring them to experts in the industrial, defence, marine and auto sectors.
In fact, VoltSafe Marine will be making its public debut at the biggest marine B2B show in North America, IBEX. Check out where else we are going to be.
ADAS and Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo – San Jose, CA – Sept 7-8
This expo features companies that are developing and building next-generation connected and fully autonomous vehicles. The leading expo on the subject in Europe will be in California in September and will showcase developmental tools and service providers to improve ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and move toward full AVs (Automated Vehicles).
The Expo will feature every tool and service needed for testing and vehicle progression under one roof including lidar, radar, GNSS and ultra-high-performance cables and harnesses. There will also be industry expert speakers presenting at the adjoining conference.
VoltSafe will be in attendance to introduce our Autonomous Charging concept. To become truly autonomous, autonomous electric vehicles need to free themselves from humans. Currently, human operators are needed to manually connect and disconnect the charger. VoltSafe technology unlocks the ability to do this autonomously, reducing the need for large battery packs and human operators. In short, VoltSafe’s Autonomous Charging concept lowers CapEx and OpEx for AVs making AVs truly autonomous.
Autotech Trade Mission – San Francisco, CA – Sept 21-23
Global Affairs Canada and its provincial counterparts invitedVoltSafe to join Canada’s most innovative autotech companies in the Autotech Business Mission to California in September 2022. VoltSafe will be presenting its tech and roadmap to potential customers, investors and strategic partners from around the world who have a presence in Silicon Valley and California. This trade mission has a particular focus on automotive, mobility, and autonomous vehicles and partners with the Silicon Valley Autotech Council.
IBEX Tampa 2022 – Tampa Bay, FL – Sept 27-29
IBEX 2022 showcases all of the latest marine technologies, tools, and materials in one event. This is a marquee B2B event in the boating sector where professionals can see new products in action and hear perspectives from people who understand the business of boatbuilding firsthand.
VoltSafe’s team will be there to unveil the VoltSafe Marine product line. This is our world premiere for both our shore power cord and shore power pedestal. We’ll also provide a tech deep dive as part of a 45 minute presentation at the show.
DEFSEC Atlantic 2022 – AC-ADA – Halifax, NS (marine & aerospace) – Oct 4-6
DEFSEC Atlantic, is the second largest networking opportunity for the Aerospace, Defence and Security industries in Canada. The show’s worldwide reach creates partnership potential for all attendees. It incorporates elements of a trade show and a defence procurement conference, to provide attendees access to “the right people” of all levels of defence, industry and government in a professional setting.
We’ll be in attendance to showcase our VoltSafe Marine along with our concepts for three-phase power, autonomous charging, and aerospace products. VoltSafe can help prime defence contractors improve their value proposition to Canada’s Armed Forces under Canada’s ITB defence procurement policy. We are a small business with academic partners at UBC that is developing dual-use technology with strong export potential. VoltSafe tech can improve operational safety, efficiency, and energy management, while falling under several of Canada’s Key Industrial Capabilities (KICs), namely clean technology and autonomous technologies.

VoltSafe has been invited back to Silicon Valley in October. During the mission, VoltSafe will have the opportunity to pitch our leading-edge technology to potential investors, customers and strategic partners in the San Francisco Bay area.
AAPEX – Las Vegas, NV – Nov 1-3
AAPEX is a trade-only event for the automotive aftermarket, featuring live demos, expert led training and the ability to connect to other professionals in the auto industry. VoltSafe’s Sales team will be in attendance to connect with automotive distributors and service centres chains across the US and Canada.
Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo North America Conference and Exhibition – Houston, TX – Nov 2-3
The Electric and Hybrid Marine Expo is dedicated to showcasing the latest, next-generation electric and hybrid marine propulsion technologies and port infrastructure solutions. The Expo features exhibits and conference speakers from around the world and is exclusively for shipowners, shipyards, operators, fleet managers and port authorities interested in exploring ways to decarbonize and the path to zero-emission shipping.
Our CTO, Sanad Aridah has been invited as a speaker to introduce our technology to an international audience of marine and shipping professionals.
ABCMI’s Annual Business Opportunities Conference and Trade show – Vancouver, BC – Nov 8-9
The Association of British Columbia Marine Industries annual conference and trade show allows companies to showcase their products, services and latest innovative technologies to attendees in the marine industry. This is the marquee event in Western Canada for ports, commercial operators, shipbuilders, and the Royal Canadian Navy to chart the path forward in what is a very dynamic and fascinating space given the pace of technological advancements. The VoltSafe team will have a booth with Voltsafe Marine on display.
METSTRADE SHOW 2022 – Amsterdam, Netherlands – Nov 15-17
METSTRADE (Marine Equipment Trade Show) is the world’s largest B2B exhibition of marine equipment, materials and systems. This is THE show -a one-stop-shop for marine industry professionals. It’s quickly become the place to be for all things electric boating. With excellent networking opportunities, a broad range of showcased innovation and located in Amsterdam, VoltSafe is thrilled to be attending for the very first time.
As boaters shift to electric vessels, they are currently forced to use off-the-shelf car EV-chargers. These chargers are not designed for use around salt or water and are thus unsafe for the marine environment. VoltSafe technology mitigates this elevated risk of corrosion and boat fires, and can become the standard for marine-specific EV-charging. We’re excited to connect with pioneers in the electric boating space and build out our roster of launch partners.
Best Defence Conference – London, ON – Nov 16-17
The Best Defence Conference is a premier defence conference and exhibition that provides attendees with opportunities to forge strategic partnerships, develop supply chains, and learn of Canadian procurement programs. Based in the heart of Canada’s automotive manufacturing corridor between Detroit and the GTA, its focus is on land systems and vehicles, along with cybersecurity.
The conference will place VoltSafe’s technology and products in front of prime contractors, military and procurement specialists in the Canadian Defence sector. The autonomous charging concept appears to be of particular interest, along with a breakaway cord for shore power for armoured vehicles or for generators at remote operating bases.
Boating BC – Richmond, BC – Nov 23-24
Professionals in the recreational boating industry in British Columbia meet annually in November over two days to learn, connect and share ideas. VoltSafe expects to be in attendance eager to connect with marine professionals and sign up launch partners in our own backyard.
