VoltSafe Blog Team – July 23, 2026
There is little room for doubt, VoltSafe has reached an important and exciting inflection point. What began as years of technology development, patent expansion, and product validation has evolved into commercial momentum, growing industry recognition, and increasing demand for safer, smarter electrical infrastructure.
For prospective investors following VoltSafe’s journey, the progress that has been made demonstrates a company steadily executing against its commercialization strategy. From expanding our intellectual property portfolio and deploying systems in real-world environments to strengthening strategic partnerships and growing industry influence, each milestone has reinforced the foundation for long-term growth.
As we look back over the past months, one theme stands out clearly: momentum is building.
Throughout the last year and a half, VoltSafe has continued to establish our brand within the recreational marine industry with our shore power system, our first major solution to market.
Our largest pre-commercial deployment at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club’s Wigwam Inn became an invaluable proving ground for both our hardware and software ecosystem. Working alongside one of North America’s most respected yacht clubs has provided meaningful operational insights while validating the performance of VoltSafe’s prongless shore power system in a demanding real-world marina environment.
At the same time, our partnership with the Port of San Diego’s Blue Economy Incubator has continued to mature. Following our selection into the program and the completion of the Sun Harbor Marina pilot, the collaboration has created valuable opportunities for customer engagement, technology validation, and exposure throughout one of North America’s most progressive waterfront innovation ecosystems.
These deployments are about more than installing equipment. They provide critical operational data, customer feedback, and confidence that our technology performs where it matters most.
Innovation continues to be one of VoltSafe’s greatest competitive advantages.
During this period, the company significantly expanded its global intellectual property portfolio with important patent milestones across multiple jurisdictions, including Europe and Canada. Together with previously granted patents in the United States, China, Korea, and other regions, VoltSafe now has intellectual property protection spanning nearly 50 countries.
This growing patent portfolio protects the technologies that underpin our prongless power delivery platform, including our proprietary “Electrical Fingerprint” technology, while also supporting future licensing opportunities across multiple industries including marine, defence, industrial automation, electric mobility, and consumer electronics.
Just as importantly, building a deep intellectual property moat helps protect the long-term value of the business. Strong patent protection creates meaningful barriers to entry, making it significantly more difficult for competitors to replicate VoltSafe’s core innovations. For investors, this helps safeguard the company’s competitive position, supports future licensing and partnership opportunities, and protects the value of the technology that underpins their investment as VoltSafe scales into new markets.
Our long-term vision has always extended beyond manufacturing products ourselves. We believe our technology can become an enabling platform that industry leaders integrate into future electrical products around the world through strategic partnerships, embedded integrations, and licensing agreements.
As product development advanced, so did customer interest.
VoltSafe entered 2026 with a growing commercial pipeline, increasing inbound demand, and more than $5 million in marina orders representing one of the strongest indicators yet that the market is ready for a fundamentally different approach to shore power.
Certification activities have continued throughout the first half of 2026 as the company prepares for broader commercial deliveries. Manufacturing planning has also progressed, positioning VoltSafe to support initial production volumes while establishing a foundation for future scale.
This measured approach reflects our commitment to building a business designed for long-term execution rather than short-term milestones.
One of the strongest indicators of market acceptance has been the growing number of organizations seeking VoltSafe’s expertise.
Throughout 2025 and the first half of 2026, company leadership was invited to present at leading industry conferences including the Association of Marina Industries Conference, Pacific Coast Congress of Harbormasters & Marina Managers, Washington Public Ports Association, DOCKS Expo, Everything Electric Vancouver, IBEX, Boating Ontario, and numerous Blue Economy initiatives with the Port of San Diego.
These invitations reflect a broader industry trend. As marina operators prepare for increasing electrification, evolving safety codes, and changing customer expectations, organizations are actively seeking guidance from companies helping shape the future of marina infrastructure.
That recognition continued into 2026 when CEO and Co-Founder Trevor Burgess was elected to the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Canada Board of Directors, providing another opportunity for VoltSafe to contribute to the future direction of the recreational marine industry.
VoltSafe’s media visibility also continued to expand.
Over the past several months, VoltSafe has been featured across major marine publications, technology media, regional business outlets, and television broadcasts including NBC and FOX/KUSI in San Diego. These stories have highlighted not only our technology, but the broader opportunity to modernize electrical infrastructure through safer, more intelligent power delivery. We’ve been invited to present at major conferences and industry trade shows. These speaking engagements are a valuable way to share our expertise and progress, as well as learn about the pain points that plague various industries.
This increasing visibility has generated growing inbound interest from organizations exploring applications well beyond marinas. Conversations now extend into adjacent markets where electrical safety, remote power management, and intelligent energy monitoring are becoming increasingly valuable.
While the milestones achieved over the past year are significant, we view them as foundational rather than final.
VoltSafe enters the second half of 2026 with expanding intellectual property protection, growing commercial interest, validated deployments, strengthening manufacturing readiness, and increasing industry credibility. Our focus remains on executing disciplined commercialization while continuing to expand strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, and product development.
The transition from innovative technology to commercial infrastructure company does not happen overnight. It is built through consistent execution, customer validation, and long-term thinking. We believe the progress achieved so far reflects exactly that.
The work completed so far has laid an important foundation, and the opportunities ahead are even greater as VoltSafe continues to redefine how electricity is safely connected, managed, and delivered.
