Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation Engages VoltSafe to Develop State-of-the-Art Marine EV Solution

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA –
(June 23, 2022) – VoltSafe is excited to announce it has entered into a paid agreement with a multi-billion dollar corporation to develop a marine electrical connector solution powered by VoltSafe’s flagship technology, in the burgeoning marine EV industry. Full terms of this deal cannot be disclosed at this time. Trevor Burgess, VoltSafe’s CEO remarked. “This project is expected to set the bar as the new premier standard for safely connecting to electricity in the marine EV industry. This is a major partner co-development project for VoltSafe and is anticipated to result in licensing and yearly royalties.”

The marine EV industry is growing rapidly, with record amounts of investment inflows at all stakeholder levels, aimed to develop and grow the electric boat market along with all of the infrastructure to support the new ecosystem. The rapid move towards fully electric marine solutions is focussed on reducing greenhouse gases and other harmful emissions that negatively affect our air, water and wildlife. Recently, General Motors committed USD$150 million to Pure Watercraft, a Seattle start-up that makes electric outboard motors for boats. Commenting on the deal, Pure Watercraft’s CEO highlighted, “The boating market is growing like it hasn’t since post-World War II.”

One of VoltSafe’s Strategic Advisors, Jim Gray, commented “VoltSafe is well positioned to be a primary enabler of this marine electrification revolution.”

Elisabeth Charmley, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Vancouver Maritime Centre for Climate, added, “As electrification of assets proliferates, VoltSafe’s patented plug and outlet connectors will play a key role in energy management – VoltSafe is ahead of the curve.”

VoltSafe’s prongless, high-power, electrical plug tech leverages the use of magnets and an electrical fingerprint, meaning power doesn’t turn ‘on’ until both sides are fully connected. This eliminates risk of shock, arcing, and reduces related fire hazards, setting an unprecedented level of Marine safety. Unlike other prongless charging solutions (induction, rf, etc.), VoltSafe connectors don’t have power transfer losses. VoltSafe recently launched a new website that showcases this cutting-edge solution for marine shore power at
