VoltSafe Blog Team – May 2, 2023
VoltSafe Inc. is excited to announce it successfully pitched its proprietary novel technology finishing in the Top 5 at the Grand Finale of EPiC 2023 in Hong Kong on April 28, 2023, earning a prize of USD $10,000. VoltSafe pitched in the PropTech (Property Technology) category supporting its goals toward sustainability, building a smart environment, and inclusion in new construction. The company cracked the Top 10 overall (both FinTech and PropTech) out of over 600 applicants from more than 50 countries around the globe.
VoltSafe also finished FIRST in EPiC’s “Favourite Pitcher” online voting competition in the PropTech category, and second overall out of all Fintech and Proptech competitors. The online competition ran for several weeks leading up to the competition’s Grand Finale. Representing VoltSafe in Hong Kong was the company’s CEO, Trevor Burgess, who successfully competed in the elevator pitch competition. Trevor took centre-stage in front of over 1,000+ regional investors and over 300+ corporate partners in EPiC’s ecosystem for the Grand Finale, and represented VoltSafe as the ONLY Canadian company to qualify for the competition.
“EPiC 2023 was not only a massive and incredible event, it also is the basis for expansion into Asia for VoltSafe’s deep technology. Placing amongst the top five innovative companies in the PropTech category and at the top of the list for the online voting out of hundreds of leading innovative startups is exciting for our team and investors. VoltSafe’s high power magnetic connectors are at the very core of all things related to electrification and smartification and it’s certainly validating when other markets, like Asia, take notice at such an early stage. VoltSafe technology powers the future of how the world connects to and controls electricity and creates previously unseen social (safety), environmental and economic impact. Expanding our network into the HKSTP ecosystem helps us expedite our strategic roadmap globally,” noted VoltSafe’s CEO, Trevor Burgess.
As a finalist, VoltSafe reaps the rewards of EPiC’s value-added benefits for six months following the competition including business matching services, local office space, investment referrals, exclusive membership, virtual labs, and access to the talent pool of Hong Kong’s major work ecosystem including universities. VoltSafe stood out in its initial entry specifically in the PropTech (Property Technology) category with its Home Outlet solution. PropTech includes but is not limited to sustainability, smart environment and construction, all of which can benefit greatly from VoltSafe’s patented technology.
