Korea Grants VoltSafe its Eighth Patent for its Flagship Technology

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA – (November 9, 2022)
VoltSafe Inc. is excited to announce it has received a “Notice of Allowance” for its flagship technology from the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).

VoltSafe has been granted its EIGHTH patent relating to its flagship technology and currently has more than forty countries in patent pending status, which are at various stages of patent prosecution. Korea ranks fourth in the world for both patents filed and patents granted, and is a country known as one of the world’s most innovative nations. Its high R&D intensity propels it to be a global leader in the development of technology around the world.

“VoltSafe’s patented technology is the engine that drives prongless (conductive) connectors delivering safe, simple, and smart-enabled solutions. Protecting our IP enables us to optimize opportunities for licensing agreements and proliferating our technology worldwide. Societies today demand safer, ultra-convenient solutions that do more with less, saving money while also reducing GHG impact. VoltSafe tech provides the first universally adaptable (prongless) connector to pronged plugs. With more than 6 billion daily pronged plug users worldwide, IP protection of our novel technology will remain paramount,” mentioned VoltSafe’s CEO, Trevor Burgess.

In 2022, VoltSafe has taken significant strides including receiving patent grants from around the world, adding new big-box retail partners for VoltSafe Winter, and developing mission-critical prototypes which will allow potential licensing partners to visualize high power connectors that are no longer bound by pronged plug constraints.

VoltSafe’s CEO, Trevor Burgess, commented, “Our focus has always been on initial discovery and capture of utility patents relevant to our maturing technology as they typically hold higher value than design patents do. For example, if you think of a utility patent as an electric toaster, the utility (patent) of the invention is to make toast using electricity, whereas a design (patent) only relates to its design (unique look or shape).”
